Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 May 2026
SplitTable ("we", "us") is operated by Mourad Zinbi. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We try to keep it short and plain.
Who we are
Contact: support@xn--jon-0ma.fr. We're based in France; the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs how we handle your data.
What we collect
- Account basics — name, email, phone number, date of birth, profile photo.
- Identity check — a one-time verification via Veriff (photo of an ID and a selfie). Veriff returns an approved/declined verdict; we don't store the documents themselves.
- Vibe profile — music preferences, occasion types, energy level, budget tier, languages, optional bio.
- Tables & bookings — tables you host or join, messages exchanged with co-attendees, reviews you write and receive.
- Device data — APNs push token, app version, IP address (for spam / fraud protection).
- Payments (when re-enabled) — handled by Stripe. We store a customer ID and the last 4 digits of saved cards. Full card numbers never touch our servers.
Why we collect it
- To operate the service — match you with tables, deliver chat messages, send relevant notifications.
- To keep the community safe — verify identity, detect abuse, action reports.
- To meet legal obligations — tax, anti-fraud, court orders.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of vetted processors. Each handles a narrow slice of data on our behalf:
- Google Cloud Platform — application hosting, database, file storage (Frankfurt region).
- Stripe — payments (when re-enabled).
- Veriff — identity verification.
- Brevo — transactional email and SMS (verification codes, etc).
- Apple Push Notification Service — push notifications.
We do not sell your data, ever.
How long we keep it
Active accounts: as long as you're a member. Deleted accounts: the User row is anonymised immediately (name, email, phone, photos removed); related records like reviews remain readable as "Deleted User" so trust history for others isn't broken.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Access — request a JSON export of everything we have on you. Profile → Privacy & Safety → Request data export.
- Correction — edit your profile at any time inside the app.
- Deletion — Profile → Delete account. Anonymises your data within seconds.
- Portability — the data export is machine-readable JSON.
- Complaint — you can complain to the CNIL (the French data-protection authority) at any time.
Children
SplitTable is for adults only — minimum age 18. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete it on discovery.
Changes
Material changes are flagged inside the app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
